Classic Pints
Love ’em or hate them, they are served in hundreds of UK pubs and bars and can be from craft or family-owned regional breweries to large multinational companies, they offer a consistent product and in the case of real ales are often one of the few options available.

IPA’s
Highly hopped with floral fragrances, lots and lots of citrus fruits, bitterness, and quite often a big alcoholic punch traditional and American-style IPAs are high on my list of favourite beers.
- Butcombe Brewery Stateside Session IPA
- St. Austell bottle conditioned Proper Job IPA ⭐A ‘proper’ IPA and a really nice example of one of my favourite styles of beer.
- Stinky Bay Brewing Company Session IPA ⭐ My go to local tipple that goes down great on a hot summer’s day.
- Hook Norton Off the Hook IPA
ENGLISH PALE ALES
English Pale Ales are brewed balancing hops and malt. Golden to amber to dark brown in colour they normally range from around 3 to 6 % ABV, although ESB or Extra Special Bitters can be higher. They range from easy drinking session Pale and Golden Ales to Ordinary and Best Bitters through to barrel aged, collectable bottled ESB beers.
- Gale’s Seafarers Amber hued session beer available in selected Fullers pubs.
- Youngs London Special A decent malty English Amber Ale.
- Liberation Ale A very quaffable English Pale Ale, smooth and easy to drink.
wheat beers
From pale American style brews to cloudy Belgium Witbiers with coriander and orange peel wheat beers are predominately made from wheat rather than barely malts and often the yeast is a key ingredient in enhancing the flavour profile.
